Have you ever heard it said that ministry is spelled W – O – R – K ? Well, it’s true. That’s why it’s called “the work of the ministry”, and there’s lots of it to be done. Part of my role in India is to help fulfill Ephesians 4:12, which tells me that my presence should lead to this end, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”

Perfecting the saints for the work of the ministry is serious business, and ultimately it relates to God’s people using their gifts and talents in some capacity of service. Whether it’s preaching and teaching, leading outreaches, or simply doing maintenance on a ministry facility, it’s all the work of the ministry. It could even involve building something, which we’re doing a lot of in Sikkim these days. The big deal is that every one of us is giving our lives in an ever increasing degree of service for the Lord’s glory.

Here’s a picture of some of our guys in Sikkim doing the work of the ministry,

Here some of the men from the church are putting together a temporary building made of bamboo and tin.

There’s lots of work to do, and it’s a blessing to have people in place to help get it done. We need each member of the Lord’s body doing their part. That equals success!

Thank you for doing your part. Praying and giving is doing the work of the ministry too, and your prayers and support are helping us to get the work done here in India!

With love,
