A few times every month we are visited by the religious dead. They come to our front door asking alms for the sake of their dead religion. It’s interesting to point out that God’s people in Christ never come begging at our front door. Only those who have been deceived by the devil seem to do so.
Today was one of the first times I was actually able to hold a conversation with one of these individuals. Surprisingly he spoke very good English; I asked him where he learned to speak and he told me that missionaries taught him. He went on to explain how God healed him of Tuberculosis at a Christian gospel meeting. Since then he said that he’s read the Bible seven times.
So, you’ve got to picture this. Here’s a guy that got healed in Jesus name and who has read the Bible seven times, and he’s going around begging in the name of Hinduism. These are some pretty tough pieces to put together. I wonder how many other people are out there who know some stuff in their head, and who may have received something in their body, but have nothing going on in their spirit.
I was able to sow some more gospel seed in his heart; perhaps one day he will believe the truth and give his life to Jesus.
