There are few things worse than a natural disaster. The recent tragedies in China and India have left multitudes in the most dire of conditions, and my heart as well as prayers are for them. When these things happen, the child of God must ask, “What can I do?” Of course, we begin in prayer and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit from there.
The aftermath of the 7.1-maginitude earthquake that struck northwest China’s Qinghai Province early on Wednesday is a bit far removed from our home-base in Sikkim, however we are very close to the region of India struck by storms later that same day. Again the question, “What can we do?”
We are seeking God, and by His mighty grace we are hopeful. Perhaps the Lord will use us to bring relief to the precious people of India who’s lives have been shattered, homes destroyed and spirit’s crushed. Only the healing balm of Jesus Name can bring true relief, and His power mixed with natural care can bring real lasting peace.
