God has designed the Christian experience in such a way that those He’s touched become the one’s through whom He touches others. If you’ve been touched, God wants to use you to touch those around you. Because I’ve been touched, my response is to touch my fellow man with the goodness of God in every way possible.
The prophet Isaiah experienced the touch of God in his life as recorded in Isaiah 6:7 –
“And with it he touched my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity and guilt are taken away, and your sin is completely atoned for and forgiven.”
Isaiah was touched by God and experienced what every person must; forgiveness. Forgiveness from God enables the forgiven to move beyond his or her self and touch another person. Isaiah’s response is found in the next verse…
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.“
Because of the impact made on Isaiah’s life he was willing to go tell others, and his willingness was actually proof that he’d been touched in the first place. Has God touched you? If so, are you expressing His touch on your life by touching the lives around you?
Remember: The life that’s been touched is the life that will touch more lives who will touch.
