What do you do with a guy who seems like he has it all together? His family is in tact, he runs a successful business, and he genuinely is a nice guy. How do you reach him?
You could try reasoning with him. You could spend lots of time explaining, to the best of your ability, the things of God, and that is exactly what I just did. There’s just one problem; he is already convinced that what he believes is true. He is a Hindu, his name is Satish, and he needs Jesus.
After spending time sharing Jesus with this dear man, and after seeing how deceived he was, I am reminded of the elite power in prayer. Prayer alone can reach him. It is the key to what Jesus said in John 6:44, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draw him…†What can we do to cause the Father to draw a person? We can pray, and pray we must, for it is faithful intercessors for the lost that will see their friends, family member, co-workers and neighbors saved!
Faithful intercessors will cause hearts to turn, and eyes to open, and men and woman will be drawn by the Father to the Son. Will you please take a moment and pray for Satish, and while you’re at it, pray for others who are close to you but far from God.
Prayer can and will reach them!
