When the Bible gives me the specifics of receiving the blessing of God in my life, my ears perk up. I mean it. In all honesty I’m interested in His blessing. I won’t lie, I want to be blessed. I want to do everything I possible can to position myself for God’s blessing, and that means finding out what God says about it and obeying.
I know it’s God’s will to bless me because He told he how to be blessed. If God didn’t want His people blessed then His word would be silent on the issue…but it’s not!
Ezekial 44:30
“And the first of all the firstfruits of all kinds, and every offering of all kinds from all your offerings, shall belong to the priests. You shall also give to the priest the first of your coarse meal and bread dough, that a blessing may rest on your house.”
Here’s but one of scores of scripture on this matter…the blessing of God. God tells us all how to have His blessing rest upon our homes or lives. How? Give. Take care of the spiritual leaders in our lives; it’s a reference to being faithful to tithe and give offerings.
It’s no mystery. The blessing of God will rest upon the home of every faithful giver.
