My heart is to bless. After all, that’s the whole purpose of being blessed of God! God puts us in a specific place during a particular time, and then gives us the honor of distributing His blessing to the people around us.
I think it’s pretty amazing when God uses someone to help someone else do what they couldn’t on their own, or go where they couldn’t on their own. When God uses you to answer someone else’s prayer or grant the desire of their heart, that friends is the greatest of honors.
My wife and I have had such an honor recently in sending her parents on an all expenses paid trip to Mumbai. The trip includes round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations in the city of Kolkata during their layovers. We’re honored to bless them in this small way for all their hard work in the gospel.
It’s been more than 28 years since they’ve been to Mumbai, the city where two of my father-in-laws’ brother’s live. One of them already knows Christ and the youngest is a big part of the reason my in-laws’ have wanted to go, to minister Christ to him.
My mother-in-law called from Kolkata after arriving at the hotel with utter excitement. It’s no cheesy hotel, we put them up in the best we could – not quite 4 star but 3 1/2. It’s nice, and they are very thankful. This kind of stuff is fun.
They’ll be in Mumbai for about a week, it’s something that’s been in their hearts for a long time, and we’re honored to bless them. Take a moment to pray for Pastor D.K. and his wife Shova. Believe with us for diving connections in the city of Mumbai, and for open doors for the gospel. Pray also for a time of great refreshing and blessing for two of the hardest working people I know.
