Children of light should have some weight to them. I know I want the presence of God heavy on my life, and I certainly don’t want to live a light-version of Christianity. Jesus was heavy. The early church operated under a heavy anointing, and I want that heaviness too.
Zephaniah 3:4
“Her prophets are light [lacking truth, gravity, and steadiness] and men of treachery; her priests have profaned the sanctuary…”
If I take God lightly or treat His holy Word as a light thing; this will ensure my life becomes light too. If my own words are light and flippant, if my lifestyle is void of truth and conviction, that will lead me down the path of lightness.
I like how the word gravity was used in the above verse (AMP). It describes an invisible force behind an individuals’ life. That force is a heavy, weighty, thing. It adds a dimension of depth to everything we say and do. My words must have gravity. My life must exude that wonderful force available to the child of God.
Refuse to live a light life, and…may the force be with you!
