Sitting on the edge of your seat with fists clenched tight, your focus unabated, you’re tuned into the message. It’s hitting you hard, right where it hurts, deep on the inside. Something is happening in your heart and soul. You are being aroused, and it’s much more than physical excitement. It’s a spiritual, holy arousal.
Ever been there? I know I have. Sitting in the meeting, hearing the message. Even, at times, all alone. Just me and the Holy Ghost; He knows how to arouse us!
Haggai 1:14 AMP
“And the Lord aroused the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people, so that they came and labored on the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,”
Holy arousal is a real thing, and it takes place as the Lord does a work deep in our spirits. It’s something we need to be sensitive to and learn to respond to. There’s nothing worse than being aroused to action but not acting. In the verse above, the people were aroused to the point where they couldn’t sit idle any longer. They had to do something. They had to build, and build they did!
Dear friend, are you aroused in your spirit for the work of God in the earth? Or, better yet, or you more than just aroused to action…are you actually acting!?
Respond dear friend to that tug on the inside…it’s a holy thing.
