1 Timothy 5:24 AMP
“The sins of some men are conspicuous (openly evident to all eyes), going before them to the judgment [seat] and proclaiming their sentence in advance; but the sins of others appear later [following the offender to the bar of judgment and coming into view there].”
There’s no escaping it, sooner or later the truth always comes to light. The only way to avoid sudden exposure to a life of sin or compromise is to live habitually in the light of Jesus Christ – the Light of this world! For those who choose darkness, judgement is soon approaching.
We’ve all seen that believer in Christ who lives a flagrant life of questionable conduct, for them there’s a huge gray area between what is right and wrong. The Bible says their sentence is already being proclaimed. Unless they repent and choose righteousness, the sin in their life will go before them to the judgement.
Other’s live a life with far less visible sin, but whatever is in their heart and hidden will one day be seen by all. They cloak the darkness in their lives with outward shows of piety. But God sees the heart. The only remedy is to repent and turn to Jesus with a heart of gratitude for His sacrifice.
Repentance and brokenness is the doorway to surrender. And God is ever ready to work powerfully in anyone’s life, regardless of their past, if they’ll but offer their lives truly to Him. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Sooner or later you will give an account for your life. Are you ready?
