Occasionally I sense an echo in my spirit. I describe it as an echo because it is repetitive; to me it seems that God wants to captivate me by it.
You see, there are certain things God wants us to do and that requires us to know His will. And since His will for our lives doesn’t change, it shouldn’t surprise us if certain things or themes continually “rise up”.  Sensing the echo of God’s voice in our lives is essential to walking out the destiny He has for us.
I remember in the years leading up to my first missionary venture, the words “go into all the world” echoed in my spirit and at that time I wasn’t very familiar with the Go command in Mark 16. I listened to the echo and heeded its call. Today there are other things echoing in my heart; there are certain reoccurring themes, and His voice is preparing me.
What echoes in your spirit? What words from heaven aren’t going away? Perhaps the echo has grown faint over time, but you still recognize it. The time will surely come to heed His call.
