We can learn a lot from the description found in Jeremiah 48:11. It says, “Moab has been at ease from his youth…and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel…Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent has not changed.”
These are not favorable characteristics. As servants of the Most High God, we should not be:
A. At ease
B. Un emptied
C. Unchanged
Jeremiah 48:10 says, “Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully or negligently…” This being true, we should be everything but ‘at ease’ in our work for the Lord.
Living a poured out life isn’t always easy…but it sure is fun!
You know what else is fun? Being around other people that enjoy being poured out…on that note, I want to give props to some folks who will probably never read this for themselves.
My in-laws…they’re livin’ the life: D.K., Shova and Rupak; awesome people – pouring it out for Jesus. Other leaders at our church like Isaac and Jagat, and their wives! Prem Pradhan, and Bikash. Just to name a few. These guys are pouring it out just about every day of the week; at church, in our Bible School and in their homes! My wife. There is a long list, and I’m absolutely honored to be where I am, doing what I’m doing, with the people I’m with.
