My heart aches for those bound by false religion. Out of fear, precious people are following the most idiotic / heinous / ridiculous practices imaginable, all in an attempt to appease devils. Grrrr.
What deception, when a person thinks they are scaring devils away, but in reality is inviting them into their life. How pleased the enemy must be, when a person draws pictures outside their house, all in an attempt to thwart darkness.
Or, a person hangs a demonic looking picture outside their home, again thinking it will scare away demons.
People even put black makeup around the eyes of their newborns, and black dots on the faces of these babies, because they don’t want the devil to do ‘something bad’ to their child.
These are just a few examples of what happens in the dark places of the earth (Psalm 74:20). Our prayer is that their eyes would be opened, that they would see the vanity of their religion, and that the glorious light of the gospel would shine in their hearts.
If you’re a believer in Christ, aren’t you glad that you don’t have to be afraid of the devil!?
