Praise Jesus! It certainly is nice to be home; the trip to Nagaland was great, but you know what they say…”there’s no place like home!”

Here’s some of the excitement that we encountered…

For starters, we arrived at the train station two hours early, due to my brief overview of our ticket. Then, on top of that, the train was three hours late. So there’s 5 extra hours of sitting at the station. Because we were so eager to get out of that station, we managed to board the wrong train; it arrived at the same time that our delayed train was supposed to arrive, it arrived at the very same platform, and it had the same name as the one we were supposed to board, but it was going in the wrong direction. So, for about two hours (until we reached the next station) we journeyed away from our destination.

While on the wrong train, the man in charge of tickets tried to convince us that we owed him a 10,000 rupee penalty; equivalent to about $200.00. It is a “side job” for these guys to try and extort extra cash from passengers…we knew that much. Finally he settled for 600 rupees. Then he asked Jyoti what we do, and after hearing that we take care of orphans, he returned the money. Favor.

After we finally started going in the right direction; some five hours after we left our original place of departure, we were back at the same station. I quickly disembarked the train and ran to where I left my mobile phone to charge; it was still there – a miracle!

After all that, things became pretty much normal. We finally arrived in Dimapur and had great meetings at a great church.

I love what I do.
Mike

I remember these math equations from school!Help me out a little on finding out the answer to the riddle;”At what speed was the train traveling”? Ha Ha! Sorry,I couldn’t resist! Well, praise God for His Grace (i.e.”unmerited favor”).Rom.8:28 says:”God works together all things for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose”. God’s blessings on you and yours;Robin.

I was very impressed about the triple miracle you have faced in that journey: the delay and the wrong train you took, the Crooked Man who tried to get easy money from you and your mobile phone found intact at its place after a certain time of battery charge.

    What wonderful world!

That is the reality of the Global South Nations’ life.

Back to the first point , people in developing countries deal with clock /watch while people in the Global South Nations go by ” Time” but as a result none of both is correct, because only God’s time is the best.

The second point is the common system of survival life in the Global South Nations: In some of those countries, they call it
“Kalabule”, “Kpayo”, “Bude”, “Kitoko kidogo”, “Tameya”; the same fact can be observed in developing countries as well under many forms of
    ” Corruptions “;

The Third and last point ( mobile phone) was indeed a miracle because people in such countries can grab items from people’s hands but, leave a cell phone and get it back after a certain time is a real miracle. That case is by God’s will.

The bottom line here is you have to be always vigilant, that’s it.

What you have experienced during that trip is one of the components of my Non-Profit Organization
( Hands Helping Humanity International http://www.hhhinternational.org). That component is ” Continent, People & Memories focused on how we can help any one interested in discovering life abroad to be well equipped before undertaking such challenged adventures. But, it’s not the case with you. You’re an experienced missionary who doesn’t need that level of information.
Hope your home is well, have a wonderful and blessed weekend.
    Peter.
