When it comes right down to it seeking God is a choice. It’s not always easy or convenient; there are many distractions and many schedule conflicts. But to seek Him demands a decision from us, if we desire to see His power manifest in and through our lives.
Isaiah 64:7
“And no one calls on Your name and awakens and bestirs himself to take and keep hold of You…”
We have to awaken ourselves. We have to stir ourselves up. We have to make the decision daily to take and keep hold of Him. It is a choice that a true disciple will make. It means, sometimes, dragging your tired body out of bed. It means shutting yourself away somewhere, sometimes, to lay on your face before King Jesus.
A true disciple will awaken and stir himself up, rather than waiting for someone else to do it for them. It’s what separates the lukewarm from the burning, and it’s what will cause you to be in a position to be used in power. Awaken yourself!
