We’re off to a strong start for our relief effort to a small village in the storm ravaged area of Bihar. There’s about 50 homes in the village of Baraily and all of them were damaged or destroyed during April’s storm. The people there are extremely poor and many of them lost all their crops during the storm as well, which is their only source of livelihood.
So far we’ve raised about $1,000 or our $6,000 goal and that might be enough to begin relief work. As soon as we finish our Siliguri outreach next week we’ll make plans to contact Baraily village again to discuss our options. We’re looking forward to bringing the precious people of Baraily natural help and to share with them their True Hope, which is Jesus Christ.
