The manifest presence of God is the key that unlocks the manifest blessing of God. His presence is without a doubt the single greatest blessing an individual can ever posses; when you have His presence you have everything!
1 Chronicles 13:14
“And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that he had.”
I guarantee those were the three most glorious months Obed-edom and his family had ever experienced. Nothing had or ever would come close; it was truly a historic time. The ark of God, containing the manifest presence of God, was in his house!
Today, we have an opportunity that far surpasses that of Obed-edom. While God’s presence dwelt temporarily in his home, we can have the presence of God in permanent array. And when God’s presence is in your home, you cannot be anything but blessed.
It was no question what made Obed-edom different in his day. All his neighbors would have known the secret to his success. If they wanted what he had, they would need the manifest presence of God too. This is exactly what’s possible for all of God’s people in this day, we can each enjoy the manifest presence of God in our homes, and when we do it will create an atmosphere of unprecedented blessing. Just like good old Obed, the Lord will bless our homes and all that we have! We just need His presence.
