At the beginning of this month I was invited to minister in local Bible School. They’re doing just 20 days of training followed by another 20 days of outreach.
I was blessed to have been given the subject of the Holy Spirit to teach on, which is one of my favorites. During the two days that I was with them I lead all 12 students in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, introducing the students into a passionate pursuit of the third person of the God Head.
All of the students spoke in tongues, which is the entry way into the other gifts of the Holy Spirit. Just like so called “gateway” drugs lead to the “harder stuff” so the gift of speaking in tongues leads us down a path of power.
The important thing for all of us who speak in tongues to avoid is this: don’t just become tongue talkers and accept limited or no power. Remember: speaking in tongues is only the beginning…there are many other gifts that the Holy Spirit wants to begin operating through your life.
