I love missions. I’m passionate about fulfilling what Jesus came and began more than 2,000 years ago…His mission – to bring heaven to this earth! It’s an awesome task and it’s a privilege beyond words to participate.
Something that often feeds the missions flame in my heart is music. I’ve often longed for a compilation of missions related music, with songs focusing on themes like “the nations”, “the harvest” and “the heart of God for the world”! There’s so many great songs out there that echo the task of fulfilling the Great Commission and they really get me stirred up!
I’ve even taken a swing at producing some music along these lines of my own, and while reading in the book of Joel recently I was reminded of one of my songs,
Joel 3:14
“Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.”
The song I wrote entitled “Multitudes” was inspired by this verse of scripture. The lyrics are totally missions oriented and I invite you to check it out! I pray it will help you feed the missions fire inside your spirit.
