2 Corinthians 6:3 AMP
“We put no obstruction in anybody’s way [we give no offense in anything], so that no fault may be found and [our] ministry blamed and discredited.”
An obstruction can be anything that keeps someone from their Savior. It could be a special man-made baptism formula that says, “If you don’t do it this way you’re not saved!” That’s an obstruction. It could be the elaborate spending practices of wealthy preachers who ignore the cries of the needy. Immorality is offensive, and faults that invite the pointing of the finger from the world we’re supposed to reach is a huge obstruction to the gospel.
The goal of every Christian must be this standard: No obstruction, no offense, no fault. That no blame would come to our ministries, and that none of our actions would discredit our message.
May the world look on at you and see a genuine example of Jesus Christ, a true representative of His grace. It doesn’t mean that you’re perfect, but it does mean that you’re living at the highest of standards and not living in darkness. Your message of Jesus and testimony of His love is too precious to be soiled by sin of any kind.
Be a witness for Jesus today, let the light of the gospel shine through you, and leave no obstruction in anybody’s way!
