Luke 10:7 AMP

“And stay on in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.”

It’s unspiritual and unscriptural to be in a constant state of movement. Of course, a healthy amount of movement is essential to the plan of God; movement enables progress for His Kingdom. However, it must be coupled with stability.

To the hurt of Christ’s body the Kingdom of God is full of individuals who are constantly moving around. Whether it be hopping from church to church, or the itinerate minister who has no roots, these movers lack stability and create a lot of rocking rather than forward motion.

Jesus instructed His disciples to stay put! But why not just run from place to place? It’s because God needs us to remain somewhere long enough for something to truly happen. It takes time for roots to grow, it takes time for fruit to be produced. And that can only happen if you stay somewhere long enough for it to happen.

God has called you to be somewhere and to do something. Don’t leave until it’s done.
