I’ve mentioned lately our youth camp that is coming up next month. With that, we had some specific needs and also wanted to buy some extra “fun stuff”. Well, thanks to our dear ministry partners, we received more than enough to meet the youth camp needs and we’ll be able to put some ‘extra’ funds toward further preparing our grounds; for example, to accommodate the large gathering we need an extra stair case! So we’ll be putting one of those in too.
We’ve been looking forward to this camp for quite some time. It’s the first time we’ve been able to host the camp on our own property. Again, thanks to our partners, earlier this year we were able to purchase the land that has made this possible. The dates are July 3-6, and we really appreciate your prayers. We are expecting a powerful time and for many young people’s lives to be touched.
It’s really exciting to see how God is moving among the young people here in India. Just this last Sunday (yesterday) we saw God move in such a beautiful way in the life of one of the young ladies in the church. This girl has just recently begun following Jesus, and her family doesn’t yet know the Lord. During worship she suddenly fell under the power of God and remained on the floor the entire service. You can see her in the picture below, she’s the one in blue.
Beside her was another young lady, she too out under the power of God. She is more experienced in yielding to the Holy Spirit, and I believe the Lord touched her not only to bless her personally, but to use her to encourage the other young lady who is very new to the things of God. This enabled her to receive more freely, as she has never seen or experienced anything like this before; making her encounter with God very genuine. At the end of the service she testified how she now knows for certain that God is real! This is exactly what it takes – personal encounters with the power of God!
We’re expecting many other encounters just like this one during this year’s camp. You who support our ministry and who have sown into this camp share in each young person’s life that God will touch. Just think, the last 14 years of service in India… All the time, energy and resources invested, whatever money has been spent, etc… All of it has been worth it, even if it was all for this one young lady alone. Glory to Jesus – He is wonderful!
