“Ho, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat. Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”
Isn’t it interesting that God says you can come to the waters; without money, and yet you have to buy these things. There is a transaction, a purchase, a payment which must be made, but what is the mode of payment? What is the cost involved with coming to the waters to eat and drink?
It doesn’t cost money, but it does come with a price. To be a person of The Word and of The Spirit, will cost you; it might cost you your reputation or some of your ego, and it will definitely cost you some time. The Word of God declares, “Buy wine and milk!” It is to possess the Word of God and The Spirit of God in a radical way! I’m not talking about some laudy da (spelling?) Christianity; I’m talking about being full!
Jesus gives the same invitation in John 7:37, and I believe it is a direct fulfillment of what is recorded in Isaiah – check it out.
Go ahead, pay the price! and be full!
