Religion goes a very long way to offer all the right stuff to its followers; sadly though religion often misses what it’s really all supposed to be about. You could have the right music, the right words even, you could have fancy philosophies, seeming joy, you could even have what looks like a very good cause behind you, but still miss what it’s really all about.
Isaiah 5:12 AMP
“They have lyre and harp, tambourine and flute and wine at their feasts, but they do not regard the deeds of the Lord, neither do they consider the operation of His hands [in mercy and in judgment].”
Sifting through all the extras, when you boil everything down, Jesus is who must remain. He is the One who must be glorified; He is the One who must be regarded and considered. If Jesus isn’t being clearly portrayed and seen, then your religious experience is completely worthless.
Don’t mistake “the right stuff” for “the real deal”. Jesus is what it’s all about! He is the source of all life, and every spiritual leader who has ever lived, if they haven’t pointed people to Jesus, have done nothing but deceive.
