I realized something during our Monday night leadership prayer group last night; even though we had only three people present including myself, that number being down from ten just a couple weeks ago, it was still a powerful time of prayer. I mean come on, anytime we connect with God Almighty through the power of the Holy Ghost, something good’s going to happen!
While seeking God for His presence to be manifested in our lives, church and community, something rose up in my spirit. The focus was, making room for more, and what it’s going to take for us to experience all that is in our hearts. I sensed the Lord saying that wrong thinking is the greatest hindrance to His presence. Wrong thinking…that’s what must be fixed, and it can only be done as minds are renewed by the Word of God.
Even wrong living is a direct result of wrong thinking, and so the problem isn’t just lifestyle, it is thoughtstyle.
The Lord put it in my heart to develop some questions that probe the thought lives of our leaders, this will help them to think about what they think about, and it will help me to understand the thought process of key leaders in our church and ministry.
For example, one of the questions is, “What is the most important advice that you think you could give a Christian?”
