Trusting in the Lord means to remain dependent. It means that in all my efforts I must continue to depend on God. I should never try so hard that I forget to trust Him.
Prayer is a perfect picture of dependence. It’s me identifying my inability without God’s help. The more dependent I am, the more I will pray.
Don’t allow your efforts to get beyond your prayers. At the same time, don’t allow your prayers to just become more effort. More accurately, your intimacy with God must exceed your work for Him. Otherwise, it would be like trying to give birth without first conceiving.
All of my work for God should consist of birthing what He has deposited. Does what I’m doing right now point to moments of intimacy with Him?
Am I creating more work for myself, or more time for God?
Natural progress should reflect spiritual progress. Why should we build with natural stones if the spiritual stones aren’t first in place?
