Where you are in life right now, and how you’re processing the challenges before you, will do one of two things: Set you up for triumph or prepare you for defeat. The lessons you’re learning or ignoring, the relationships your building or neglecting, the patience being forged or lack thereof, all combine to form your future.
Consider this verse from Jeremiah 12:5,
“[But the Lord rebukes Jeremiah’s impatience, saying] If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, then how can you compete with horses? And if [you take to flight] in a land of peace where you feel secure, then what will you do [when you tread the tangled maze of jungle haunted by lions] in the swelling and flooding of the Jordan?“
The Amplified Bible is great!
It’s the little things in life, the little challenges, the small tests. The day-to-day grind; the foot races that we run – these get us ready for the real competitions of life! If you can win now, keep your joy and stay patient, if you make it your habit right now, then you can do it later when things become even more difficult.
Keep running friend – keep looking to Jesus! Stand on Hebrews 12:1-2 and remember, you were the cause of His journey!
