Who you’re building for will determine how you build. If we are truly building for the King it will be reflected in every aspect of our workmanship.
It’s important for us to realize that our lives are much like what Soloman’s temple represented. The temple was a permanent dwelling place for the glory of God, and because it was being built for God (who) it was built with excellence (how).
Who you dress for will determine how you look. Who is listening will determine how you speak. Who you think is watching will determine what you do, and how you do it. Who = How.
When God becomes the supreme Who in our lives, everything changes and our motive to please Him will produce tremendous momentum. To get to the place you believe God is taking you, just remember who He is and don’t worry about the how part. Focusing on Him, and simply living for Him, will cause all the how’s to work out.
