Genesis 7:1
“And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.”
It’s that lifestyle of righteousness, just that day in and day out ‘doing what’s right‘ that makes all the difference to God. It’s what God found in Noah, and caused Noah and his entire family to be saved. More than any message he preached, record of which we have none, it was the message of Noah’s life that caused grace to shine on him.
What’s your life’s message? What’s mine? When it’s all said and done, what will we be known for?
Noah was known as a preacher of righteousness. He was known as one that walked with God.
I must say, I too want to be known for such things. I want to be known as a man after God’s heart, like David. I want to know myself as the one Jesus loves, like John. I want to be known as a soul-winner, like Paul.
There’s much we can each be known for, and the decisions we make every day will determine our legacy. Make your life’s message something you can live with for eternity, something God will be pleased with, and rest assured that you and your family will enjoy the results! Just like Noah.
